Jeep Safari In Ranthambore National Park
A Jeep Safari in Ranthambore National Park is a guided tour of the park in an open-top Jeep. Visitors can see a variety of wildlife, including tigers, leopards, and several species of birds and other animals. The safari typically lasts for several hours and is led by an experienced guide who can provide information about the park and its inhabitants. It is best to book a safari in advance, as they can fill up quickly during peak seasons.
Ranthambore National Park, India's most prestigious tiger reserve, attracts millions of wildlife enthusiasts from all over the world. The Ranthambore wildlife safari is an excellent way to explore the forest, which is teeming with wild predators such as royal Bengal tigers and leopards. Following their trails in search of a tiger and suddenly spotting one just a few feet away is enough to chill your blood and raise your heartbeat.
The Ranthambore park administration operates safari vehicles, a Jeep and a Canter, in two shifts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. In one shift, only 20 Jeeps and 20 Canters are permitted to enter the park. The Jeep is a 6-seater vehicle with doors on all sides, and the Canter is a 20-seater bus with doors on all sides as well. Safari vehicles are open on all sides for the best wildlife viewing experience. To ensure that the tourist flow is evenly distributed throughout the forest, the national park is divided into ten eco-tourism zones.
Each vehicle is assigned a specific safari zone, and once inside the forest, no vehicle can change zones and must stay on the fixed safari tracks. There is, however, a good network of safari tracks in each zone to follow the tiger or simply explore the area. The zone is assigned to each vehicle at random by forest officials upon entry into the park. Normally, once a tourism zone has been designated, it cannot be changed. However, your zone can be changed on special request and for a fee of around 1000 INR, but the decision to change the zone is entirely at the discretion of the park officials.
