Ranthambore Fort is a magnificent fortress in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. It is situated at the foothills of the Vindhya Range and is managed by the government of Rajasthan. Built in the 10th century, the fort has a long and rich history. It has been the site of numerous battles and was once the stronghold of the Chauhan Dynasty. The fort is a popular tourist destination and is known for its sprawling battlements, intricate carvings, and royal palaces. Visitors can explore the many palaces, monuments, temples, and temples within the fort. The fort also offers stunning views of the surrounding areas and wildlife. HISTORY OF THE ATTRACTION

The stronghold was captured by Prithviraj Chauhan in the 12th century by the Yadavas. During the spread of Muslim rule, the stronghold was attacked a number of times to attain power over the Rajputs and the western part of the country. It was eventually conquered by Khilji by buying the minister. This stronghold reminds us of the events and is a monument of high significance in the history of India.

GETTING THERE

For the excursionists traveling by air, they can land at the Jaipur (Sanganer) field from where the stronghold is about 180 km down. The excursionists can latterly mileage hacks or motorcars from Sanganer Airport to reach Ranthambore safely.
The people traveling by train can get down at Sawai Madhopur Railway Station which is at a distance of 10 km from the Ranthambore stronghold and can reach the destination in the hack or other state transport.

THINGS TO DO IN AND AROUND

While a person is visiting the fascinating megacity of Jaipur, they can explore the literal cornucopia and the artistic heritage of the area. They can visit Kachida Valley, Surwal Lake, Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve or National Park, and some of the other literal places similar as the Jogi Mahal, Raj Bagh Remains, Ganesha tabernacle, and the Jain Temple.

OPENING/ CLOSING TIMINGS AND DAYS

The stronghold can be visited during the safaris of the National Park that occurs only between October to June. The timings are between 7 AM to 1030 AM or 630AM to 10 AM in the morning and in between 2 PM and 630 in the evening, during different months.
